Create Your Own Economics Blog

In these turbulent economic times it is a good idea that we reflect and communicate on current economic events.

Your task is to create your own economics blog using blogger.com. It's easy and self explanatory just follow the directions to set it up. I want you to take current articles from a collection of economic news sources and create questions that will encourage discussion on your blog. You can use The Wall Street Journal, The Economist or some other economic news source to find articles that you find compelling enough to post. You can also link up to videos on the economy. One of my favorites is to stream segments of The Nightly Business Report. Just make sure you give the date of the broadcast you want people to see.

A blog is an excellent place to invite discussion. Economic students will receive extra credit of 20 points for every post with a maximum of one per week. I will leave you feedback for every post.

The Bailout

Should we have bailed out Wall Street?

After reading "The Bailout: An Owners Manual" decide for yourself whether you think Wall Street should be bailed out or not.

Considerations:
1. How does the deal work?
2. How much will it cost?
3. What is the best case scenario?
4. What is the worst case scenario?

What do you think? After reading write a 100 word reflection on whether we should have bailed out Wall Street or not.
